150km top end
What the H#LL...............I wanted to see what my new 2013 eco boost would top out at with 900 K on the odometer. It seems that the truck can't go faster than 150km/hr. That's just not good enough. Will this get better when the truck is broken in???? Hell...........I got more out of my old 99 F150 that had 300,000 K on it.

Get a tuner and remove the speed limiter.

Speed limiter due to liability issues. The tires are the limiting factor - they're rated for a certain speed and if Ford let the truck go faster, they would be liable in the event of a tire related crash at high speed.
You could also be opening a can of worms here. These usually turn into a truck vs sport car thread. eg Why the need to do over 100mph in a heavy truck?

I'm hoping northernON is going to the salt flats - but I would bet not. We don't need that speed on the roads.

Its not because I'm going to be driving 100 mph all the time or in traffic. But it is my truck and my choice if I wanted to see what it will do. Why make a 600 hp mustang Shelby??????????? Are all the owners that buy one going to go the salt flats? You can't tell me that you never wanted to know how fast your new truck or car for that matter, would go. With your reasoning, all trucks should be 1 liter, 50 hp engines so no one can go over 55mph on the highway. Where I live, I can drive miles before I meet up with another vehicle..........I don't think a one time thing is going to make me a reckless driver.

I would definitely check your tire rating before burying the needle to far, you don't want them flying apart at high speeds, bad things will happen.

Its all about YOUR safety and the safety of OTHERS on the road around you.
Drive like hell and you 'll get there.
If you want to find out what it will do - take it to the local race track.
