I'm checking a price at the local Ford dealer again to see the best price is they can do. Getting real tired of trying to run outside before 7am and at work after dark to start up the truck in this mega cold weather. I will let you guys know the latest price.....

Dealer gave me price today of $660 taxes and install included. A lot more than the word of mouth $500 I was told last fall. Checked with Action Trucks today and was given price of $349 plus taxes, including install. Not sure yet what model the Ford kit is at the dealer. Maybe it's a more upscale one?? I will find out. Dealer also said the install takes about 4-5 hours, although the package only charges the customer for 3 hours labor.

aftermarket remote start systems are better than them plug and play ford systems. the ones i saw were 1000ft range and way over priced at $299 just for the kit.
i installed a Python 414 remote start in my dads 2012 EcoBoost for $127, that included a PKTX bypass from Xpresskit. the system has a 2000ft range and many other programable options that i didnt hook up.

I bought my 2012 F-150 new from the dealer in August and wanted a remote starter put on it. They told me it would cost $1200 with 2 keys with the starter on the keys. But they told me since I bought the truck from them for a second time they would let me have it for $600. I know they hosed me but they said if I had it installed else where other than a ford dealership it could void the warranty. So I paid up.

There are numerous threads about the remote start options on the recent vehicles, I added cellular remote start to my 2013 for $300 including improved alarm system (shock sensor), and programmed with Forscan.
There is NO IMPACT TO FACTORY WARRANTY for you to add things to your truck, UNLESS THEY CAN PROVE A FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY WHAT YOU DID. Adding Ford OEM accessories is a no-brainer.
Don't pay anyone $570. These components are plug n play.
