10 Speed Transmission question?
I have a 2018 F-150 Lariat Sport FX4. I really like the 10 speed tranny and it is normally very smooth up, and down the gears. I have noticed though when I'm in sport mode it downshifts really hard and not smooth at all. Is this normal or do I need to get it serviced? The truck has a little over 7,000 miles on it. Any info would be appreciated.

There are many folks on this forum who do not like the new transmission and it's characteristics. In my non-auto-professional opinion, it sounds like your trans is operating as it was designed. Traditional automatic transmissions were very slow to shift with soft lockup, which maybe "felt" better to the seat of the pants but was detrimental to fuel efficiency. The new transmissions have more aggressive programs as far as shift timing, torque lockup, etc, and have higher pressure valve bodies to firm up and shorten gear selection timing. I believe this is to deliver the higher MPG ratings that everyone who owns a truck wants while at the same time being robust enough to handle HD towing/hauling chores. Call me crazy, but it's almost as if they have given you shift qualities of a ZR1 Corvette that can tow a 7000# ski boat reliably.
Not sure why you're operating your truck in the Sport mode if you don't enjoy the harsher shift points. Try running it in Normal and let it short shift to use the broad torque curve of the EB motor!
