Default Oddball question regarding learher and dogs

I have a 110lb black lab and a 70lb yellow lab. These knuckleheads rode in the cab of my Ranger on camping trips etc., I didn't worry as the Ranger was well worn ha ha.
Now I have my 06 FX4 with black leather and they are dying to go for a ride.
Question:
Those of you. With leather interior and big smelly dogs...how is the interior holding up? Either way, they will be riding with me but could use any tips or suggestions in preventing damage to my nice interior! Thanks!

I carry my GSD in my 2012 FX4 with leather, no problems. Easier to clean the hair and drool than cloth

Cool. That is what I was hoping to hear! We have a camping trip later this month and the doggies have to be there.

I think you'll be just fine with the hounds up front. If concerned, put down one of your sweatshirts or a blanket for them to lay/sit on. You could check their nails first too, give em a clippin if need be. I agree, our dogs are like kids, let em up front and hang their slobberin heads out the windows...... Leather these days I think is a bit better than the old days.

When I first got my GSD, he rode in the back seat all the time. As time has passed, I got married, I have children now, so unfortunately he and our new pup have been relocated to the bed of my current truck. I don't like it, but I can't make my 3 year old ride back there. To make sure they can still continue to ride with me, I'm investing in a camper shell for my new truck. That way they don't get wet or cold. When it just me and them, they can hang out in the back seat, but more often than not, I'll have at least one of my daughters with me, so at least I know they will stay dry and warm
