So I'm new to the forum. After buying an '07 with the dreaded vct issue (from a dealer), here's my video, my issue with the dealer, and the unresolved problem. After hours of research and fighting with the dealer, I'm at the point of just running the truck the way it is. It actually runs fine!? Except for it turning into a diesel when I back up into my driveway after work. Anybody have any new info on this nightmare problem?
Check out the video, not only to spread the word about the bad dealer, but to hear how bad the knock is. And disregard the guy holding the camera's comments...he just happened to be standing there and was a convenient tripod.
