Default 06 5.4 “phaser” tick gone after replacing bad plug

ok so I bought my 06 f150 5.4 with 112,000 miles. It’s got 135,000 on it now. It has always ticked like crazy since I’ve had it. Recently I have been having a bunch a of misfire issues, maybe once a month I’m replacing a plug because it comes loose and is all messed up. I’ve done cylinder 1,3 and 5. Tonight I had another misfire issue in cylinder 8. Put in a new plug, fired it up and it is SILENT. I’m so confused because I was about a week away from replacing phasers, guides, chains, etc to eliminate the ticking. And a $12 plug did it. Anyone else had a similar experience?

It was either bad or loose. Yes, plugs are commonly confused with phaser tick

Always though it was a broken guide or bad phasers and just have been putting it off. But turned out much more simpler
