Default Wheel Lock Nuts

What brands of locking lug nuts to you recommend that can handle the torque without stripping out?

So the cone-shaped wheel locks will not work with the premium cast alum 20" wheels that came on the truck. Requires a lug nut with flat washer or I could use a washer that will fit the cone-style wheel lock. Still looking for the correct wheel locks/nuts to use.

Looks like the Gorilla 78641F includes a cone-style wheel lock and a seat or washer to work on the wheels with a flat surface. The conical/flat washers that are included in Gorilla set are sold separately, Gorilla Lug Nut Washer 79916 (Ford adapter).

Not trying to be sarcastic. I don't think you took it that way, but sorry if it came across that way. Wish i knew more for your problem. I'm sure someone makes a lug that will do it.

So I bought the McGard lock nuts and the Gorilla Ford adapter washers. The washers were a solution for Gorilla so they would not have to manufacture a flat-faced lock nut. Well, these Ford adapters (washers) were meant for the F-150, not a F-250 or larger truck that requires a higher torque.
I installed the washers with locking lug nuts and I tightened them in stages, but around 120 lbs one of the washers split. I called Gorilla and John explained to me that washers will not withstand tightening over 100-110 lbs/ft. He did say he would send out some replacements that may be better that what I have.
So right now these are just a temporary solution until I can find a better quality lock nut if one is available.

Maybe he was referring to older models that had smaller diameter wheel studs that required less torque.
