it could be algae building up in your tank if you got fuel with high water content.

but yes it should be clear if it is just water.

The color of diesel is the best result.

A test done in 2007 showed Opti-Lube Summer + to be not only one of the best, but the most cost effective. Another fuel additive that has gotten good press recently is Archoil AR6200. But have to be internet purchases from Amazon and other places. I actually use both as that gives me the best MPG.

You have algae growing in your tank. What year of powerstoke are you running? The 6.4 and the 6.7 are very dependent on clean, water free fuel. Water will kill those HPFP quick. Dieselsite has a pre filter that will take all the water out and will kill flow if the water separator fills up. It prevents a massive fuel system failure. If I had one of those engines, I would have this on it.

I would just get the tank as low as possible and fill with good diesel and double the additive. I use the Ford Cetane booster and 2 cycle engine oil for lubrication. The 6.0 is a much more forgiving in the fuel department.

Diesel is a green tinge at most pumps. You're fine
