Default Tow Mirror Hit While Driving

My tow mirror on the driver side got hit by a dually. The mirror works but there is cosmetic damage. Am I able to just replace the black lower plastic mirror cover? I can only find the top mirror caps. If anyone know the part number please let me know. Thanks!

In the diagram it looks to be part number 9. Unfortunately that’s the only info I can find on the item.

Well that sucks. The guy that hit me just kept on driving, so guess I’m out of pocket on this.

You might try Boost Auto for ones that would be a lot cheaper than Ford. I had a set of tow mirrors from them for my F-150 that worked well and they offer ones that heat the lower mirror also. They have an option chart to pick from but I can't remember if they ever got the power extend ones yet.

I live in the backwoods as most would call it. Lots of dirt roads and super narrow country roads with 55 speed limits and everyone drives 80.

I have folded my mirrors in on many occasions due to clearance between lanes when a semi or dump was coming at me.

Never had to do it for another pickup. Sorry to hear about your damage.

Was it the wider wheel cover that hit your mirror? That seems pretty high.
