Default Took the F250 Plunge

I took the plunge into the Super Duty world and love it so far! I've had a bunch of F150's over the years and loved those trucks. Among others, I've had the EB and the 5.0. Most recently I sold my 2015 F150 5.0, for my new F250 6.7L.

The F150 5.0 was such a nice vehicle. I really enjoyed so much of it. The quality of materials was really nice. It had a subtle growl that was fun and in terms of comfort, it was as about as great as the nicest cars I've ever been in. In a strange way though, I started to miss the truck feel. It started to feel a little car like on my long drives. For me, I like the sturdy ride of a bigger truck and sitting up a bit higher. The F250 6.7L has totally delivered on that front. I'm sure it sounds a bit odd to say that I really don't do much towing. For most people I think that is the main purpose of the SD 6.7L. I can see why it would be such a great choice for towing just about anything. I am still loving the big engine and truck feel. Hoping the 6.7L doesn't experience any major catastrophes.

On my long freeway drives I'm getting better gas mileage than any of my F150's. I totally miss my 36 Gallon fuel tank on the F150 though. The 23 Gallon tank on the F250, never made much sense to me. I may have to eventually put one of the larger tanks in. Overall it's been a ton of fun! After these Platinums, I think I'll have my eye on a KR eventually.

Who knows...Maybe one day I'll find myself in another F150. But for now, the F250 Diesel has quenched my thirst for for lots of power, a great sounding engine, and a tough ride. Hoping it continues to bring lots of enjoyable miles ahead!

Added a few photos. I love the the Bronze Fire Metallic, and how the color changes slightly in different light.

That is a nice color! Great choice! Getting a nice new 250 is a dream I hope will come true in a few years. I agree the small gas tank would be a disappointment. Love the 36 gallon tank.

Very Nice Looking SD, love the Color.
26 gallon gas tank must be Diesel only as my 16 F350 6.2 Gasser has the 36.

Ditto, beautiful truck. I find the 26 gallon fuel tank still lasts longer than my bladder does.
