Those that traded their 150 for a 250/350

To bams point on cost my current fx is fully loaded. I'm spoiled with nav, sunroof , heated and cooled seats etc. to go back to a xlt version just on cost alone is a tough pill to swallow. I'm still pondering. The truck I was looking at was a bait and switch attempt. Listed at an excellent price at a dealer online but sold months ago. It's a call generator obviously and I won't be giving that stealership any of my money.
I'll stick with the 150 for now in search of my old man creature comforts until I decide I want to get serious and tow some bigger stuff.

Somethin' Bout a Truck...
Yeesh. That's over 25% of the cost of my F-150 when I purchased it new. I'd love a diesel just because, but I mainly want a full size truck the next go around, crew cab long bed, and the heaviest thing I tow with any regularity is my ~6000lb wakeboat or my ~6000 enclosed car trailer w/ car in it. I don't NEED diesel for those, or for that cost.
Guess I'll have to see how the 6.2L stacks up power/rpm range vs. the 5.0L when the time comes as I don't think I'll cough up for a loaded diesel rig. I prefer my cars loaded up and my trucks more basic, just my opinion.

Holy ****, am I reading Ford's website that says a SRW F350 w/ the 6.2L is over 2000lbs heavier than my F150? I knew it was beefier but didn't realize by that much. The 6.2l has slightly more HP/TQ but not enough to outweigh that additional weight. Hmm, well that stinks.

After towing through the Mountains with my 14 F150 5.0L I have a F350 on order and I stayed with the 6.2L. With 4:30 axle ratios I will be just fine, I'm in no race to get to the top of the mountain, I just want my Truck to tow easier than the F150 is lacking in.
The F150 tows my TT but 2nd gear/higher rpm's I just don't care for.
The F350 was only $700 more than a F250.

Definitely more truck, which is good and bad. Towing stability with a TT is greatly enhanced, Playfulness empty, not so much. I went from a 2wd RCSB 5.0 to a 4wd Supercab 6.2. With my 2500 pound utility trailer in mixed stop in go mpg went from 14.6 to 11.8, which is what my old 04 5.4 SD 4wd did. Hopefully I will gain some after break in.

Same results here. I get better gas mileage with my PSD F350 then I did with my EB F150. Went from 8~9mpg towing a load with the F150 to 13~14mpg towing the same load with the F350. Granted diesel is more expensive in my area than regular gasoline and there's a $$$ uplift for the PSD platform in the super duty. But still, nice to see double digits on the lie-o-meter..

It's only been half a day since I traded mine in, already I'm in love with my SD.
Went from a 2013 F150 STX 5.0, to a 2014 F250 King Ranch FX4 6.7L
Huge difference in felt power off the bat. Interior upgrade for me was a big change as my STX was bare bones. So far looks like my fuel costs are going to go way down! My STX (with my foot) was getting 14mpg combined while mostly behaving. King Ranch is getting 16mpg in city right now and diesel here is 2.77/g where gas is about 3.10/g. So better mpg and less cost per gallon, win win!
Can't weigh in on the towing difference, I very rarely tow and its usually a smaller toy hauler or a 18 foot trailer I use to help people move.
