Somebody tried to steal my friends on 2009 F350 super duty. How hard would it be for me to try to put a new ignition in and I’m assuming it went into some kind of a theft mode lock as he had to have it towed home. Key still turns but no crank

 

They are usually held in place by anti theft bolts/nuts.

 

His comprehensive insurance will pay to get all that fixed, depending on his deductible.
