Default Seafoam

How do you get the diesel filter cap off the filter to put Seafoam in?

which engine? 7.3, 6.0, 6.4, 6.9. I never used seafoam on a diesel because of the alcohol content, I put diesel kleen or ford's treatment when I changed fuel filter

I was talking about a 7.3. Looks like it requires a special tool. It is my brothers truck so I was wondering.

Nope, I just put a rag over the plastic cap and unscrewed it. The groves in the stock cap will allow you to lay a screwdriver across it to get some leverage to unscrew it. Don't buy a filter with the cap attached to it, they suck. The replacement caps break after a short period of time generally so I have learned to keep the stock cap.
