New 2016 F350SD Diesel DRW
Well I have now towed with it too and the truck doesnt seem to realize a trailer is back there. With 8k on the tail and about 1k on the hitch it pulls like a dream.

Yep 3.73LS. I drove the High Capacity Tow package truck first, it had the wide track 450 front axle and 4.30 gears. It was just too much. It only gains 2k in tow rating and had a slightly lower payload. The rpms at 75mph made for an unpleasant driving experience for unloaded travel. Over 75, forget it, its up over 2500rpm and very noisy. The 3.73 truck is about 2200 at 80 which works well for freeway cruising and not getting blown off the road here in the midwest with 70 plus speed limits.

Lining up some stereo/gps upgrades today. Business was good this month so decided I could splurge a bit. Selected a kenwood stereo, twin backup cameras, bluetooth, Android auto play, HD radio, and sirrius satellite set up. The back up camera set up lets me have one for the gooseneck up on 3rd brake light and on on the plate for regular back up use. The android auto play lets it mirror my google maps from my phone as well as my calling features. It seems to work on the one at the shop, better than my Lincoln MKTs sync. The stereo is all touch screen controls and very intuitive. I will post pics once its installed next week.
