It does come with a warranty, though it is short. They themselves sell an almost identical 2013 F350 XLT with 1000 miles less for the same price. I’m definitely going to try and use their own truck to talk them down on this one. If it’s not the right deal, I’ll just pass

I got my fleet truck from a family member in a different state, its a 2016 that I got in March of 2019, with 150K miles.
Looking at KBB today after adding 22,000 miles the current trade in is more than I paid. Used car prices are nuts.

What are you going to be pulling? For work?

 

Thanks man. According to blue book, the XLT value is very fair, the XL is a bit high so I’m going to push that hard. Or buy the XLT and deal with the long bed 🤷‍♀️

My plan is to start a concrete edging company, for custom landscaping. Trailer has to have some heavy equipment on it, a big bed of sand, and a cement mixer as well as all the bags of cement itself. The trailer for the company I currently work for weighs about 12,500

 

If you plan to tow anything with goose or 5th, the Long bed is the better choice. Had to deal with having the short bed with my F350 to tow a 5th wheel and had to replace the pin box on the trailer with a Reese Sidewinder and swap the Curt Q20 with an A20 so it would lock the pinbox properly. It really depends on the trailer, the axle center is 37" behind the cab, and that is where the 5th pin and gooseneck ball reside, so an 8' wide trailer would contact the cab at an angle under 90*, and in my case it would have hit just making a left or right hand turn. If you have a trailer already, get some measurements to make sure it can clear the SB cab.

 

Update?

 

Passed on both of those trucks. They actually had less rust than mine, except the rear diff had REALLY bad scaling rust all over it, the AC smelled dingy, the rear right door handle was broken, it pulled right when i took my hand off the wheel and pulled REALLY hard right when brakes were applied. The XLT also pulled right, had a completely corroded battery, rusty rear diff, low coolant level, just gave me a bad vibe all around. How is the coolant over an inch low on a "certified" pre owned vehicle?

A 2011 F250 6.2l Lariat with 112,000 miles just showed up an hour away from me for the same price, so I'm going to go check that out tomorrow. To be honest I was hoping for a basic white work truck, maybe XLT trim at most, but I also think that for a budget that went from $15,000 to $20,000 I can't really afford to be picky.

 

Im telling you that CPO is questionable on like a 2 year old car from a factory dealer let alone some small used lot.
