Default Ford F-350 power stroke v8 headlight issues

Hello all, my dads Ford F-350 headlights won't work. High beams work but at night we can't get them to come on. We did find a pinched wire a long time ago, that fixed it for awhile. To get it to work then he had to move the steering wheel up and down for luck to get it to work. But now they won't come on at all. We have tried looking at the switches, tried the auto sensor switch, checked the fuses. Nothing. :/ just can't figure it out. Anyone know what it could be?

What year is the truck? And for the stupid question, did you try replacing the bulb? The high and low beams are in the same bulb. Thus it is possible the high beam will work when the low beam will not.

Thanks for the reply. It is a 2002. Never checked that but what is the odds of both low beams going out?

One might have been out for awhile and not noticed until the second one went out. This happened to my brother and it took him a while to figure out.

I have seen experienced mechanics chase their tails, because both low beams were burnt out. It is worth checking.
