Well recently just for the fun of it I was browsing a few 250's in my area and was finding newer w low miles and even some brand new ones that weren't all that much more expensive than an f150. (Much to my surprise). I always thought it would be fun to have a huge 250 but have absolutely no reason to get one other than to feed my ego lol.. Which got me thinking bout how they compare in fuel economy to the 150.. That's all, I appreciate yinz for replying to this

Just like with the F150, the F250's differ on mileage according to what rear axle ratio you get. I just finalized the deal on a new 6.7 2014 F250 still in transit to dealer with a 3.31 rear axle. I am expecting to get upwards of 23 mpg on the highway. This is a crewcab 6.5ft box 4X4. My 2013 F150 CC shortbox Platinum with the 3.31 Ecoboost could only do about 17 before the latest TSB was put on it. Now it has no power and somewhat less fuel economy.

Depends on your speed. My fx4 ccsb 6.7 3.31 tuned and deleted can get over 25mpg, at 65. I get around 21.5 at 75-80

what kind of mpg's are you guys with 3.32 gears getting in city driving? doesn't the 3.31 gear kill acceleration?

Cool

2013 4x2 6.7 3.73 limited slip DRW with only 6600 miles.

19 to 21 mpg highway solo

10 to 13 mpg highway with 15k of trailer

I averaged 10.5 on our 4800 mile trip from MI to MT including multiple mountain climbs.

I am tickled.

And no, I don't think they lose much with 3.31's. My fat dually will jump out of its skin, they have these engines so powerful now.
