No EB in the Super Dutys. If I went forced induction she'd be an oil burner. 6.2 is the engine of choice.

I'd look more closely at the 2014 RAM 2500. That coil spring rear is supposed to be very nice. You can also get factory air suspension. The 6.4L is also supposed to be a good motor.

Personally though, I prefer the looks of the F250 or the GMC 2500.

Think PickupTrucks.com had a review earlier this year of the three 250/2500 gassers. A good read I thought.
Well I had gone down today and chatted with them for 2 hours. The 6.4L Hemi is an impressive beast. We talked numbers a bit. They are basically willing to cut their throats to get me in one. Have a lunch with the Ford sales rep tomorrow to see what they have in mind.

Hemi's like a lot of RPM to develop any real power . . . . .

My current 5.7 cruises in 7th at 2500rpm with 5500lbs on the hitch. Climbing a 6% grade- 3500. Nothing wrong with that. The 6.2 wouldn't fare any better. They are rev happy too and that's what they are designed for so it doesn't scare me. Both pretty stout mills.

I have not had a chance to took a trailer to a new 6.2 Super Duty, but if they tow anything like my 6.2 F-150 it should keep you very happy, My .02 cents.

The 6.4 dodge with 8speed Got it's *** beat by the antiquated 6.0 Chevy with a 6spd while towing. I believe it was Ftt

Not with an 8 speed. 8 speeds can't be had in an HD. Maybe the 6 speed. Dunno. Didn't check. GM Twins aren't even on my radar.

You're right. It was a 6spd. Same 4.10 gears in the rear for both trucks. The Chevy makes 50hp/tq less and still beat the hemi towing. TFL did the review.

I'll check that out still pretty set on either the 6.2 or 6.4 though. I REALLY wish they would adapt that ZF kit for the HDs sometime soon. If I knew that was coming down the pipe I would wait.

That's the link to the PickupTrucks.com review.

I don't agree with everything they say, so just pick and choose the parts that are important to me.
