Cummins Vs. Powerstroke
I owned everything but a duramax, including the new 6.7 ford. By far i loved my 7.3 the most and I like the simplicity of the cummins but hated what was rapped around it. The new 6.7 has power like no other diesel that I had ever owned but i got a first round lemon and finally parted with in March.
Dodge got it right with the new body style. My co worker has had his for a year, towing a 16 ft trailer with all our gear 5 days a week. Not a single problem yet.
My 07 2500 cummins was a great truck too. I drove that for a year. No problems either. It was a company truck so it was used daily to tow and haul very heavy loads.

i haven't owned a power stroke yet (love the 7.3s though) but i have had no problems with my dodge yet. neither have my friends with there dodges and my friend with his 97 f350 7.3 440k mile area and still pulling chevys out.
One of my friends father's just bought a 2011 F350 KR. I like it and would drive it. When one of my other friends compared it to the 2012 Ram 3500 Longhorn Edt his father just bought, they both said they'd drive the PSD...right off a cliff. These guys are straight up Cummins and Duramax guys. It's more just a joke cause Ford's don't have the best reputation in that part of the state. Apples to apples though, the Dodge was a way better buy. Nicer interior, more powerful engine (the dealership included a updated tune to the engine which puts out 850ft-lb and 415hp). There were a few other things that we like more about the Dodge such as a better factory sound system, e-locker, no urea, little bit nicer leather, no grandpa step on the tail gate (we are young still and that is the only real reason for that). Also got a 300K mile power train warranty on the truck (and yes the new tune is covered by the warranty) and got the truck off the lot $48k. Don't know about the mileage or anything of the two yet but they are still both extremely nice trucks.
Dodge 3500 laramie is freakin nice. Especially in the mega cab configuration. The quality and fit and finish of the interior can't be beat. It's nicer than any luxury vehicle I've been in. You definitley get what you pay for when it comes to dodge heavy duty trucks. I've only seen the F350 at the dealer so I can't comment on them.
I'm amazed at how quiet the new cummins engines are. At idle with doors closed you can barely hear the engine.
