Cummins Vs. Powerstroke

I haven't been over there since their daughter and I broke up, but from what I hear they all drive Infinity's and Nissans now. They used to be straight Ford. Then the Cobra went down due to them being too "cheap" to change the pads on the brakes, which caused it to plow into the back of my truck about a year ago and become...totaled. From there it just went down hill for them and domestic vehicles. And all the diesels that I used to keep running for them, either can't move under their own power or don't get taken care of anymore since I'm not over on a semi-daily basis making sure oil gets changed and things get greased.
That sucks, my ex-girlfriends father is in poor health and he has a nice 55hp jd with a loader that never got run unless I used it to bush hog for them. He used to own a grading and clearing buisness but has since sold all of his track loaders, dump trucks etc. but what little equipmnet he has left is going into disrepair. It really sucks because I was really the only one that took care of his stuff and since he has two daughters who knows what will get done with it.
Good to know. I thought the dealer may be exxagerating a bit when they told me most parts come from japan. They did mentioned the paint being the biggest one which is why my truck is taking forever to build.

That's my F150 right there. Bought for $5000 with 67K miles, before it hit 104K miles 2 years later over $4000 had already gone into mechanical/electrical repairs. I think even though F150's are notoriously reliable, especially the 4.2, every now and then a few lemons slip through the cracks. Just reminds me of one of the 3 season episodes of Top Gear. They try to destroy a diesel toyota from crashing it, dropping travel trailers on it, drowning it in the ocean, and setting it on fire...and it would still turn over and move under it's own power. That episode made my father laugh and then say that he missed his 5.9 since it is currently in Colorado. Gotta love diesels.
