Couple of Issues
Typically I am posting in the F150 section, not sure if the Super Duty is as alive, but here is to hoping.
I picked up a new to me 2015 6.2 F250 and am loving it.
2 issues.
The first is that the gas nozzle constantly kicks off when trying to fill it. It’s gone back to the selling Ford dealership once so far and they replaced the filler neck. Though my research indicates charcoal canister issues. It goes back again in 2 weeks, but it’s inconvenient and am just thinking of spending the $140, getting the part, blowing lines out and seeing what happens. Wondering if anyone has dealt with this as of late.
The other thing is a humming noise I can hear when accelerating or coasting and slowing with or without brakes. I thought wheel bearing, but the tire shop couldn’t find any play in the wheels. Not quite sure what sort of diy tests I can use to rule things out. I’ve toyed with it a little, letting off the gas and giving it a slight press or tap, but the sound stays constant. Another reason I thought drivers side wheel bearing is that it’s a bit louder it seems when going left around mountain curves. Any ideas here would be appreciated also.
