Default Best year for a diesel

Ok people, I wanna trade in the 1/2 ton for a 3/4 ton. I want a diesel, I don't tow much but a boat a couple times of year. I just basically drive. I'm thinking 08 and newer for the new body style. Which Diesel engine would be my best bet? Which have fewest issues? Which make easy power with a tuner and a straight pipe?

Here we go again.

Reliability go with a 2000 7.3. Cheap Easy power go with a 6.4L. Tranny sucks in the 7.3. But the 6.4 may have more engine problems due to the emissions crap. It's really up to you. Both 7.3 and 6.4 have their pros and cons.

There are a lot of different cummins engines. Which one? My buddy had a 04 and blew up at 60k miles.

I'd go with the old 7.3 or the new 6.7 . I've heard too many bad things abut the 6.0 and 6.4.
