Default Bent valve?

I have an "05 350 6.0 that has 175,000 miles on it.

It has had a few EGR coolers replaced, but other wise been a good truck.

Today it has started to run very rough and is down on a lot of power out of the whole. Once making boost it does OK. It has a ticking sound and you can hear a quiet drumming from the intake tube.

It seems to be a bent valve to me but was hoping it is much more simple.

Any ideas?

Im guessing an injector is going out, or has already gone out.

We got the valve covers off and no signs of valve problems. There were no codes. Not event for the horrible missfire.

Your glow plug tip and injector tip still intact? if so someone has dropped something during your egr cooler replacements at some point. I have seen that before here in the shop.

Yep, the tips are in tackt. We have replaced the cooler 3 times. And I am guessing our mechanic made an oops last time he worked on it.
