Apparently leveled, What to look for?
Thats what I am thinking too. Now if they will ever ship. I ordered direct from Roadmaster April 6th, hasn't shipped yet. Still waiting on the fuel tank as well as the pump disaster prevention kit. It also needs shocks, trying to decide on Rancho, or KYB, Bilstiens are a bit more than I can afford at the moment.
Mine should be arriving today, and if it isn't too cold this weekend I will be installing them. Reading the manual now to get an idea what to do. My first run through it I looked for the overload spring since you mentioned it before, and was confused that it said up to 2008. I read it from the start this time and saw why it has that section, the 73-08 used a different part on the top, so 09-current still have the overload removed.
Got them installed, just finished actually. I will have to order new U-bolts, I don't trust the originals, not towing 13K 5th wheel. Torqueing the one side, the rear bolt pops, and can't get it torqued properly, the other side I got to 148, and quit, couldn't get the leverage to go all the way to 198. They will be OK for now, not planning to drive it very much, and still have other suspension work to do.
It raised the rear up 5/8" with the 2mm disk. However, on the test drive, all I can say is WOW. I must have said it a dozen times, and was stunned at the difference the ride was. The roads by me are rough, lots of heaves, ruts, and holes. Before it would bounce all over, pop, and squeak and make all kinds of noises, and it was a constant steering effort to stay straight, but now, it is surprisingly smooth, even with the bad shocks. Then I let my wife drive it, who has more wheel time than I do and she came back stunned as well, she did the same I id, just kept saying wow.
Proof will be when I hook it up to the 5th wheel and see if the sag has been taken care of. I think it will because when I set it down the body didn't drop, it stayed up. I found no evidence in the rear of aftermarket stuff, but will inspect the front out when I replace the hub seals.

The ride difference is truly even more impressive when loaded. I ALWAYS had hard loud thumps when hitting big bumps when loaded as the overloads engaged. With the RAS, that is 100 percent gone. I plan to get new shocks this year as the truck is now 5yrs old, but she still rides like a Cadillac compared to stock. I think at 3mm it will be even better.
