have a 97 F350 7.3 Turbo PowerStroke. when it first starts, it will not ilde unless you give it some throttle for 5-10 secs and let off the throttle. then it idles fine. Runs good from then on. Only lopes when first starting it.
any ideas??

what do you mean the ipr or icp? new to diesel engines

ICP injection control pressure sensor.
IPR injection pressure regulator.

Gonna need to hook up to a computer to test what's wrong with it. If your in my neck of the woods I have a Ford scan tool and am certified on Powerstroke 7.3 systems.

Could be several things..

1. Glow plugs or glow plug relay
2. IPR
3. Tired injectors

191,000. seems to run fine after it starts.
