Default 95 F250 inline 6.

Just got a 250 with a inline 6 it only has 120k 4speed w/od. Noticed that sometimes it won't idle down when shifting or when stopped. I love the truck but a little freaked out. Thoughts? It doesn't do it all the time. Should I be freaked out?

This is a common symptom when the idle jets are plugged and someone shade tree fixed it by opening up the idle plate (idle adjustment screw).

It could also be a stuck mechanical timing advance...vacuum line unplugged to blocked.

And follow your vacuum lines for emissions and evap fuel as they degrade and crumble creating a vacuum leak. Good motor.
