Default Making the SD earn its keep
Yesterday we made the big red truck earn its keep. We ran 3 loads of 4 tons each. The trailer weighed 5k empty so 13k loaded. It is the first time I have done much heavy towing on the frame hitch and not GN with the SD. The truck did amazing, just using a pintle hook hitch and electric brakes, she towed like a champ. Cant say enough good things about the 6.7 for power either, smooth and strong with great acceleration. The SD trucks are true working machines that is for sure.

Its back to the horses this week, and at end of month a two week 4k mile trip from Ohio to Oklahoma City, to Reedville VA and back to Ohio.

I plan to, and usually it has a black tonneau cover too. Had to take the cover off to haul fence panels last week too.
