6.0 questions
Stay away from a 6.0. They blow headgaskets, eat injectors, and clogged egr valves. I would not buy one with over 100k. To make one reliable you have to do headstuds, egr cooler delete and custom tuning and that is about 5k in work. The v-10 are good for about 200k if they are towing. I would look for a 7.3 if I was you, better engine and will last half a million miles. The diesel will get better mpg towing. I used to tow RVs for a friend and we had diesels and bought two v-10s when diesel got high but after 6 months we swithed back to the diesels just because the fuel bill was to high on the gassers because I would get 6-8 mpg towing and 14 with the diesel trucks.
