Actually it does mean something, it means it holds value better than gas engines, you two obviously got a bad diesel if you had "thousands" just to maintain it. Sounds like neglect but I don't know you. I'll admit they are out out there. 6.0 and 6.4 got a bad rap because of egr and oil cooler problems..deal with it or don't buy one. A lot of guys that get these trucks don't know jack about them and then get pissed when it breaks. Little research before someone buys would help.

You are 100% correct in that you do not know me.
You state " Deal with it or don't buy one"....Once again you are 100% correct.
"Neglect"....give me a break....All I can say to that sad remark is LOL!!!!
Unless you have owned a 6.2 gasser and or a 6.4 diesel how in the hell can you give out knowledge about those two engine's.

My 6.4 worked great but leaked like nut's. In dealership's (3 of them) over a dozen times.
They all said the same thing....6.4 issue. My friends and Glamis buddie's all have problems with all the years. They just deal with it. Your right..... you do not know me or you would not be talking bull**** about my knowledge about trucks....or "Neglect"....LOL!!!!!

P.S. the picture that I posted was just the start of it. It had less than 500 miles.

Typical hot head taking things out of context. When did i give out knowledge of a 6.2 or a 6.4? And as far as talking BS about your knowledge, when? I disagreed with you about mpg. Find your underlying problem about why you're angry instead of ranting on here, if you feel that I wrote something to try and offend you're wrong.

The 5.4L is a dog in the F150 so that's not even a thought if you ask me. The 6.2L is a good motor but I would want a gas in a F250 so i would say diesel diesel diesel!! Yes they cost more but resale valve is one if the biggest reasons why.

And if they giving you 28K for a 5.4L 250 you need to trade that sucker in quick before they change there mind!!!

I got the 2014 f350 6.7 diesel now since my f150 was a lemon the diesel gets 28mpg I got 13000km on it now and do it the paper way the truck has way more power than the gas pods and gets double the mileage I'm also a HD mechanic up northern Alberta and the reason why the companies love the gas pod super duty's is there under powered and the guys cant beat them up to bad. How ever tho I don't care what it cost its the truck that works for me. i am buying another super duty but since a fully loaded lariat with the 6.2 was $63000 and the diesels only $70000 and its going to be the nice personal truck I was going to go gas but since I'm in it for so much ill buy another diesel since they hold there trade in value usually $8000 more than gas pods. I also plan on towing a lot and hauling. as a mechanic and long term diesel owner I can say there not family cars short runs will destroy a diesel they are built to be started warmed and ran hard also they require to be idled to cool before there shut down. research is a big thing before buying I would not buy a 6.0 l or a 6.4l in less I planed on the big fix on them 10 grand area then again I would not buy a dodge diesel since I have seen 9 of them in the 6 month wear the ball joints fails and the tire falls off. I would not buy a Duramax because there gutless compared to my 6.7. just remember don't matter what you buy they all wear out they all have weak points and they all have plush and minus.
like a old guy once said **** tires or tracks they will all cause a man problems.
