This F-250 is for my daughter and son in law...I was surprised how smooth it rode and how quiet the 6.7 diesel is. Pulls a 28' catamaran and a 40' 5th wheel with ease. Running LT285x65x20 BFG KO2's at stock height but has Airlifts bags in the rear when needed.

I like the boat. A guy could almost catch fish out of something like that.

If you can afford the $10,000.00 diesel option, then sure its great!

I went gas to same some coin and I don't need a diesel. I pull a 30' camper and wouldn't work a diesel hard enough to justify it. I went gas 250 fx4 crewcab.

Bottom line, drive both and get what you want.

I test drove a '16 F250 lariat today with the short bed and loved it, the thing rides smoother than my '14 F150 157" WB. It also seems just as quite in the cab compared to my truck. I also test drove a '16 silvrado 2500 duramax and was very impressed, it rode even better than my F150 but the duramax is louder than the powerstorke for sure.

I think they ride pretty good, considering what they can do. It is a sturdy riding truck, not floating like a Cadillac or Lincoln.

Gasser - Diesel, not a easy choice.
Comes down to what you really need, the Diesel will be a extra expense not only at the time to purchase but as the years go by.
I too look at both engines and test drove both but couldn't find a 6.2L with 4.30 gears to compare.
By advise on another Ford Forum I decided on a 6.2L with 4.30 gears (I did have to Order), not a bit disappointed.

Just got a 16 f250 KR, 6.7. rides really nice, firm but nice and the KR seats seem to be a lot softer than the ones in my F150 Lariat, Diesel has some punch too. And I'm getting, so far, better milage than from my eco.
