Default 2023 Hybrid Superduty

We're getting close to the reveal of the 2023 redesigned Superduty trucks. I have a gut feeling that a hybrid version will be introduced. Maybe it will be based on a 7.0 version of the Godzilla motor that I've heard rumors about. Thoughts?

I want a gasoline/nuclear hybrid! Hold the gasoline!

I thought Ford went on the record in saying that they aren’t electrifying the super duty yet?

It would be nice to have a powerboost SD. It would sway me to a SD compared to my current plan of eventually getting a HDPP F150 for sure, as long as the payload was in the neighborhood I'm looking for.

Seems like a lot of unnecessary cost at the moment -one would think the battery power for the F150 would not be adequate for the superduty line. The trucks are quite a bit more heavy making a weak battery output not very beneficial.
Adding a powerful enough system would come with increased R&D cost driving up the cost of an already expensive vehicle with little to no return.

For the average buyer, probably not. For fleet duty when the truck would
otherwise be left idling all the time, there’s probably a market for it. Being able to skip hauling a generator around to certain jobs would also be a plus.

I'm towing a 30 foot travel trailer with a half ton, so a hybrid Super Duty with a little better mpg would work for me as well.

Would seem pretty stupid to me. One of the benefits of a Superduty, especially a gas SD, is the simplicity and durability of the driveline. I would never want to complicate a Superduty with that.

It would be an interesting alternative to the powerstroke. Lower cost, similar MPG, similar payload.

Considering a Lightning Platinum is nearly $100K, and a Powerboost F150 Platinum is near $90K, and Superduty is $80K right now, a hybrid would be in the 6 figures easily. The banks are now wising up to the market, it will be harder to get loans on these big ticket trucks without large down payments. The bubble is about to burst on vehicle prices with the way the economy is going, so I don't see Ford putting much extra effort into the Medium duty trucks for the short term. Maybe in 5 years we will see one, but not the upcoming MY. Besides the Superduty is their cash cow, it's what makes the money to be put towards more R & D. Too bad they can't build enough of them this year.

I would not be surprised if Ford loses their first place in truck sales this year.
