Ah, thank you assumed since it was pushrod it was 2V.....to be fair fords diesels have not been reliable since they went to 4V then with the 6.0. Minus the 6.7 because it’s been a good engine.

the 6.7 has had its fair share of issues but mostly with the emissions crap

Short chain driven VCT on the camshaft. Should be a slam dunk. I hope Ford nails it.

Should be a nice reliable engine for fleet duty. 0% chance this engine makes it in to anything else from the factory. Designed from the ground up specifically for the HD market.

Don't see any mention of active cylinder management, that's god news. Don't need to emulate GM's and FCA's problems with lifters rotating and wiping cams.

It is nice that it is available all the way down to the F-250 though.

For sure. Looks like a nice upgrade from the 6.2.

I'll watch for info on the 7.3 . That engine might get me back in an F250 again. I'm done with diesels. I can't justify the cost of ownership with my use.

VCT on a push rod engine is pretty unique right?

Love hearing what Ford had to say. Like Ford set out to design the optimal engine from the ground up for the application
