I'll throw my guess out there for numbers:
405 hp
485 ftlb torque
Being bread for work, my guess is it will be engineered for a torque curve unlike anything that has been seen before by a production N/A gasser.
Even with a 10 speed it still won't get better than 16 mpg! ...but as the man said, it isn't designed for efficiency as priority 1; rather torque to move heavy.

I am currently an F-250 driver with the 6.2 and I would definitely choose this new engine option. I don't have any issues with the 6.2 but the extra power would be nice to have. The 6.2 already gets crap mileage so that's not a big deal to me.

Edit: after a couple years of the option being available so that they can work out any early bugs.

Where this engine would really shine is for Marine use, it would be perfect. Ford needs to get back into that business. They owned a big chuck of it in the 70s, 80s and early 90s.

As much as I am a fan of Ford's modern truck overhead cam engine offerings from the EcoBoost, Boss, to the naturally aspirated engines there are benefits to the overhead valve pushrod engine. Ford knows what this customer base is asking of their trucks and what application is best suited for the task.

That is my prediction, but I'm betting its pretty accurate as how could they NOT make another Boss 429 when they have access to a brand new 7+ liter v8!
while the 7.3 will fit laterally it will not fit longitudinally, so it’s not going in the mustang unless ford decides to chop up the car(rhetorical). Aside from the obvious packaging issues, the real issue even if it did fit is that it would be horribly unsuitable for several other reasons: 1.weight distribution would simply be unworkable. 2. The core architecture of this motor and it’s power arc run completely counter to what the mustang requires. Bottom line...not happening by a long shot.

It will fit, even if they have to relocate radiator(s)
