2016 F250 6.7 "Check Brake System" Warning
I got my trucks wheels and tires rotated/balanced a few weeks ago and now every couple days ill get the "Check brake system" warning (probably just a coincidence). The only code I get is C101A which when I look it up it appears to be abs and the vacuum pressure causing the code. Has anyone experienced this and found a fix before I take it to the dealer? Truck only has 17,900 miles. TIA (Trucks fully tuned...)
First thing you would ever do on brakes is look at the fluid level in the reservoir to make sure the fluid's sufficient.
Next step would be to pull your ABS sensors on each wheel and wash them in Dawn dishwashing soap. Rinse and reinstall. Many times, mud gets on the sensors and they don't read right.
If that doesn't take care of the problem, further analysis will be required.
