Default What's the value?: 77 F150 Explorer 4x4

Hi All!

I’m moving and unfortunately have to sell my beloved beast – THE BEAR GRINDER – and wondering what the fair market value is for these guys, as from everything I’ve seen, their values have really gone up in the past few years.

It’s a 77 half ton Explorer – working four-wheel drive and no major mechanical issues – runs well but needs tuned up – front end needs fixed (previous owner bent the passenger side radius arm and have a replacement one – just not on the rig) – the guy I bought it from said it has a 360, unsure how to verify.

Just wondering what these are typically selling for these days so I can know when listing – thank you!!

Jake

The tires are probably worth more than the truck. I wouldn't pay more than $500.

lol thanks so much and glad you like it! It's for sale - I'm in Northeast Wyoming - I "roughed it up" as it was supposed to be used in a film we were planning to shoot until the deal fell through...twice... so when we go for round three, I'll just find another one to fill this one's shoes -- I was gonna put a lift and bigger tires on it and a few other things too... next time tho ya know

awesome, that's really how it's supposed to look - I'm still curious on what the average market value is for one of these - my short box is worth several thousand from what I've researched - also a 77

Coming late to this thread, but I had a 1999 F150 4WD that I traded in on a 2017. No dealer would give over $500 for it. I also have a 1977 F150 2WD I had to have valued for tax purposes 3 years ago. $200. Granted, these were situations that called for a low estimation, but unfortunately, yours (here at least)...... only a few hundred.
