See ya buy would be the last words to the pump as it went into the scrap pile. Just remember to plug the hoses leading to and from the pump. Large bolts and hose clamps work well.

There is a crossover tube onhte back of the heads. What I do is take that tube off and cut it about 2 inches from where it bolts on the head, then roll and lighlty braze the pipe and just bolt the ends back on. It blocks the exhaust ports that are on the back of the stock heads for the EGR.

Adds weight to the vehicle, breaks easy, creates exhaust leaks, gets in the way. Oh and its supposed to help the emissions in some way shape or form.

i know the egr valve on older trucks is not that important, but i would n't do it with a new one. i'm down to alt.,ps,and of course the fan belts. unless i get a electric fan (ya right water pumps still needs the belt)i have cut every thing out

Could get an electric water pump.. I don't know if they make a streetable one though. I delete EGR's on the new trucks/cars all the time. EGRs SUCK. Especially on a diesel.
