Another gas tank not venting inquiry
Hey guys, thought I'd try this forum out to answer my question. I searched first just to let y'all know but nothing really jumped out at me since I have the 70's era trucks...I built this '78 as a crawler but when we wheel here in the summer months my tank pressurizes something awful, and pukes out fuel even sitting level out past my NON-Venting cap....
These are supposed to be "closed loop" right? Well, either the previous owner done something different because I have just the actual fuel line coming out of the tank and running straight to my carb.....no charcoal cannisters, no vent tubes on tank....
I bought this Non venting cap because of the extreme steep uphill angles associated with rockcrawling was making me lose all my fuel on the ground, which is of course a big NO NO!
Any thoughts or suggestions to help? Thanks! P.S. All the emissions bullcrap was also out of the truck if that helps...

I have the non eec setup without the rollover valve in the top as well....
Has anyone tee'd off of the other fuel vent line for filling up and made it into a tank vent? If so, would'nt I need some kind of valve?

I have a 73 with dual tanks, I had, (have) the same issue with my aux tank. It sits to close to the muffler so I have to run the engine off that tank or it will expand the fuel and **** out the cap. At 7MPG, it compensates for expansion and runs fine.
