problems with LED lights in 1960 gauge cluster
The title pretty much says it, but I decided to replace the lights in the large cluster on my 1960 ford f100 with LED's that were equivalent to the incandescent bulbs.
They look amazing, when used for just the gen light, turn signals, or illumination, but when the three are combined, nothing works.
Im even having issues with the lights now that I put the incandescents back in.
I don't really understand what went wrong though?
They should be lower draw than the originals, and the only issues I anticipated would have been with the lights not having enough resistance to work with the flasher.
Instead nothing worked, they all flickered when the turn signals and lights were on, and I even had smoke come out of the fuel gauge! talk about a christmas gift to my father gone wrong! haha
any help would be much appreciated!
