i am new to the domestic scene and i have no idea what i am doing lol
i am the new (to me) owner of a 1986 ford f150 4x2. i have no idea what kind of motor is in the truck( the previous owner told me that its completely stock). i am trying to find out what i need to do first and foremost as to where to start. any tips hints suggestions and ideas will be greatly appreciated.

if its stock itll be a 300 inline 6, 302 v8, or 351 v8
if its a stick shift itll probly be a 300 six cylinder
no clue on popular transmissions common with the v8s
(based on hartselle, AL trucks)

i have found out that it is a 302 v8 and it has a 4 speed manual. aside from that i know nothing else so im gonna look around on here and post a lot of questions, as im sure ill have them
