I am curious about how to value this. I recently purchased an 8 ft dual tank bed from , I believe, a 1982 that has 30 miles on it. Yes 30. It was driven to a farm from the dealership where It was removed from the truck so as to put sprayers and a flat bed on it for an orchard and the box was stored in the top of a barn until about 3 months ago. It has the tailgate on it still and has a couple of dings the size of a silver dollar from being removed i'd say .I havent seen one in this condition since they were new at the dealership. It's probably as close to an N.O.S. box as I will ever find. If I were to let go of this thing, what might be a fair price range ? Thanks for your help fellas.

 

My best guess sight unseen would be $500 to $900 range, maybe a little more or less

Up here in the salt belt (and probably anywhere else too), that's at least 1500.00 all day long. And that would be without the tailgate. That's another 3 to 400 right there.
I think you could probably get 2000. Somebody restoring an early 80's truck would love to find that.

Grandpa was hit buy someone in Walmart parking lot and they are refusing to cover the damage. He drives a 1983 Ford with dual tanks. It took out the whole passenger side of the bed. We can't find one locally here in South Texas. Is this truck bed for sale?
