Heres my 84 xlt

Grew up in a GM family, so this is the first Ford I've been around. Was shopping for an older project truck, and this was the best deal I could find, so why not. This is also the first carb'd truck I've ever owned. So going to take a little studying up on.

Looking for mod suggestions.

Mechanically it seems pretty good. All I've had to do so far was adjust the carb a little. At about 35-40 mph if you let off the gas, its got a pretty good shake, but as soon as you give gas and speed up to about 45-55 mph shake is gone. Any suggestions?

For the shake, inspect the U-joints, engine mounts, & front end.

For the mods: my first one would be EFI.

You should also fill in your signature & get a Haynes manual:
