My recently purchased 1978 f150 cut out while going down the road…upon checking, it seems there is no ignition module and the wires from the coil look like they have been tied in and run straight through the firewall…can someone help me understand this? No ignition module
Probably had a MSD 6AL box inside the cab? Or mounted his regular Duraspark module in the cab
Might not be a bad idea
Ford used to have us place a heat lamp on the modules and wait for them to start failing as part of the diagnosis procedure
That was before the breakerless ignition tester came out IIRR

OH!! I like that!. just tore out my dash to do a deep clean and replace switch that are just too crusty, there a lot of room done there, I just might do this to clean up the engine bay.
