Very true, 78 or 79 can't remember which. It was started to get around the upcoming new EPA requirements for a couple extra years. I can't swear to it but think it was unleaded fuel and catalytic converters. At the same time Chevy came out with the "Heavy Half". Only reason that sticks in my mind is I had a friend that bought a first year F150 4x4 back then. After a year or 2 even they had to start coming out with cat's and run unleaded fuel. They still produced the F100 for several years along with the F150.
coltonarnold, that's a good looks truck to start with. Love the color. Think you'll like the 300, I know I do. It gets decent fuel mileage to, getting 18+ highway on mine. Just fueled up yesterday and got 15.71mpg average with 50/50 city/highway mileage.

I wasn t sure, i could see the seam, but sombody used to do a camaro nose in two pieces to ship it cheaper. Front drive oval cars must be a weird thing to set up.
I see its got a ton of camber on the wall side, are you doing any weight jacking with the sway bar, or bent the axle on the outside rear. I m a pitroad racer, driving is boring, worse than watching, making stuff work is my thing, plus that way i can spend someone elses green

Im going Sunday on a 2hr road trip (thanks to Craigslist) to pick up my new toy. 1977 F150 4x4. Was restored to show room condition 12 years ago, but has since been worn down and now doesnt run. Shouldnt take much to get it going, only paying $650 for it and it comes with a plow. Will update with better pics when i get it home.
