Alright I will keep that in mind, it was just redone a couple of years ago but as u can see the guy didn't do well, he didn't do the roof or the bottom of the tailgate and he didn't clean the thing that runs across the tailgate so I was gonna get it redone by someone with better experience

Hi, I am new to the forum and wanted to say there are some really nice trucks here... I recently bought a 1985 F-150 with 88,000 miles on it and it only needed a fuel pump. I haven't done any work on it except putting a new carb, fuel pump, and some misc stuff to get it drivable. I am having problems with the fuel tank switch though...Here are a couple pics.

I wanted to take a moment and explain my problem a little better...My truck is an 85 like I said, 5.8L, 351, automatic... It has been sitting for a couple years but I poured a little gas down the carb and she fired but did not crank because the carb is not getting gas. Apparently the switch that changes tanks is not working correctly so I took that off and cleaned it. I unplugged the line going in the fuel pump and put it it a can of gas and turned the key and the fuel pump did not spit gas out the other line so I am changing that. Is there another fuel pump I need to check? Any other troubleshooting I need to do? Thank you.

Here is my baby. 1986 F150 5.0 high output auto w/ overdrive Ford 9" rear 4:11 gears. Truck has 117,000 miles on it. I bought it 4 years ago for $900 and have never had any problems. Truck is in process of restoration. She currently cuts low 12's high 11's in the quarter mile.

Here is my '77 Ford F-150 Ranger 4x4, 351M, 4 speed manual. Got it from my dad for free and ever since that day this truck be came my money pit. Replaced / rebuilt a bunch of stuff already, in the next 2-3 weeks the axles are getting redone. I’m going from 3.55 to 4.11 and lockers up front. Is still needs losts of TLC.
