Default how to remove the dash panel

new to this forum. trying to get my dash panel off because its pretty hammered. its on a 1977. any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are 5 philips head screws across the top of the dash. Then the fun part there are nuts inside the dash itself. You will have to remove the glovebox and gauges to get at them.

My 73 is some 55 miles away, trying to remember. Mine is a metal dash with a softer leading edge for accidents. Is that what you're after? Don't remember anyone needing to remove the whole dash for that vintage. Agreed, has to come out somehow.
