I’m kind of a weird clean freak when it comes to my vehicles. But yeah the paint that’s on there is actually single stage. So a little harder to keep clean since there’s no clear coat to protect the base color, but single stage can usually outshine base/clear depending on who painted it especially the more you polish and wax it.

But yes, I bought all restoration parts from LMC. I wish there was somebody else that I could buy from. But they have literally everything lol. Their selection is great, the shipping just kinda sucks.

Check nada classic trucks and it'll give you an idea to go with. But as a reference-- I bought a 86 f-150 xlt lariat super cab 4 x 4 with 92,000 miles from the original owner ( who by the way stored during the winter ) 12 yrs ago for $4800.00 . The truck looked brand new . The frame and body panels still has the grease like under coating on it ..

That truck wouldn't go for under $4k in northwest TN. Looks good

Some Electrical parts for the 85-86 model years are getting scarce.

Default 1980's Fords

Blue85 - you did a great job on your truck!
Just got my first Ford 150. It's a 1986 that my wife bought for me as a surprise birthday gift. It has 48,200 miles on it and the owner swears that these are the only miles on it. Everything under the hood looks original and in decent shape. It's a 5.0 EFI 302. The steering feels a little "soft" but I think that can be fixed and the red paint on the passenger rocker panels seems to be fading. The front gas tank does not work and I hope to get some ideas from the Forum on how to get that fixed. So my work is beginning and I hope that the "Red Rider" turns out half as nice as your 1985.
