held with turn signals on my 86 f-150
okay I put a new turn signal switch in my truck the fuse is good the flasher is good and they still wont work does anyone have an idea what it might be?

When you put the turn signal on, does the turn indicator light up? If it lights up does it stay on?
Do the running lights work? The running lights should all be on with the first detent of the light switch.
I would say the next step involves a multimeter.
Do you have 12V going to the turn signal switch?
Yes?, then go to the flasher.
12V at flasher?
Yes, then go to the hazard light flasher.
12V at Hazard flasher?
Yes, then go to each socket and see if you have voltage at each bulb.

Interested to see if amazon adapter works or it will read as trailer is attached.
