Looking at this picture, the bracket bolts to the 2 left throttle body bolts. The two you can see in the picture, at least that's how it is on my '87. I can't get a decent picture of it.

I have been following your interesting thread here and may have a solution to your exhaust vs crossmember issue.
I also have a '66 early Bronco and stay informed on the new switches guys are doing. You may find what you want in a fabricated pipe on a couple of sites.
Try Jeffs Bronco graveyard in (MI) since it's closer to you or Wild horses.
Both do very well with exhaust.

Thumbs up

UPDATE........... The bastard runs and drives......... I even wired into the exsisting instrument cluster harness, and added a steering column mini tach, and everything works. The fuel gauge in the 77 is not calibrated for the 93 tank even though theyre the same size, I assume it is in the sending unit. The gauge works but reads almost 3/4 full with about 4 gallons of gas.... any ideas how to compensate for this??? I was thinking an inline resistor in the gorund wire???? I cant believe I got it done, well like 90% done. I still have to put an oxygen sensor in that trick custom exhaust I just got done making, well I didnt but a good friend did and man it looks and sounds amazing. I called Flowmaster before we made the exhaust system from the header back since its 2 -3 to 1 collectors. They said do not split them into true duals, merge them into a 2.5 inch collector and just one single muffler 2.5 in and out. They said you will loose power and torgue by splitting it. I am going to have to notch the frame for one of the header tubes but thats about it, I dont understand why anyone says the header will only fit a 2wd... the guy that made my exhaust is a pro but had the system designed, bent, hung and welded in 2 hours. Anyone will have to make theyre exhaust this was just a little tighter than some I guess. .... Lastly how can I post a video in this forum?????????? I want to post one of my truck running and driving. I will have updated pictures shortly.

Oh hey Sean I finally found where the throttle bracket went, bolts to the engine block and the power steering pump and ac bracket. You can almost see the two holes in the side of the head where it mounts. The frist hole closet to cylinder #1 mounts the big aluminum bracket then the throttle bracket slides onto the stud and snags a bolt from the hole in the head between #2 and #3.......... Pretty darn sneaky, I knew I wasnt going crazy I didnt find where it went until I installed the power steering and placed the throttle cable shroud over the cable... and I was like duh

Here is the trick custom exhaust we were able to fab up. And remember Hedman says that this header will not fit a 4wd.... uh well there it is ladies and gents. The cut curved piece of pipe under the O2 sensor is designed to protect from all those rocks and trees I drive over. The exhaust note sounds great to boot. I contacted Flowmaster before I built it and Im glad I stuck with theyre recommendation of not doing true duals and running the 2 2' pipes into a 2.5' collector, cause this thing is a torque monster. I swear it if was lighter in the front and I had drag slicks on the back Im sure it would lift the front wheels in 2wd with the gearing thats in the truck. How do I post a video of this truck in this forum???????

Heres some pictures from the bottom side of the engine... I hate it that the body looks unaturally rough and beat compared to this nice clean motor. I will have a hard time swamping this truck into a creek bed or deep hole with an engine that is this clean and shiney.

The truck runs and drives great, so far only put about 20 miles on it. Im having one main issue with the battery draining completley after the truck sits over night. I know there must be a massive parasitic drain on the battery but I cannot remember for the life of me how to test for a parasitic draw on a battery... can anyone remind me?????????? I have a nice SnapOn dvom and know how to use it just cannot correctly remember how to measure it.

Remove the ground from the battery and hook up a test light from the cable to the battery. If the light is on bright there's a draw, it will be on dim because of memory power draws but bright is no good. Pull fuses until the light goes out to find the draw, if fuses don't make the light go out then start pulling fusible links.
