Electric throttle for 1985 Ford inline 6 4.9 300 in 1952 bombardier
I have This carbureted 300 in a old bomberdier snow machine hooked up to a c6 . These machines have the engines in the back Looking for any advice on running an electric throttle . Don’t want to run a throttle cable all the way back because will need nearly 20’ in length and concerned about freezing and the long stretch. I can run linkage all the way back like original had but checking into other options. We Tried a master cylinder pedal connected to a slave drive on carb but to slow of reaction time. Any advice or thoughts would be appreciated.

The mechanical linkage will be the safest, cheapest, and fairly reliable. Moreso if you modify it with PTFE (Teflon) bushings & bearings so they're dry & self-lubricated.
An electric throttle is MUCH more complicated than it seems, and requires multiple redundancy to be reasonably safe.
Hydraulic would require a STRONG return spring on the slave cylinder.
