Engine swap. Carb to fuel injection
I bought my wife’s grandpas 86 f150 302 fuel injection 450k original miles. I found a fresh 302 with port and polished heads and a Comp cams 260H-10 cam (212/212 duration).
What would it it take to swap my factory fuel injection onto this motor or swap the truck to the carb setup that’s on it?

Carbs suck. EFI is vastly superior in every way.
Cams are specific to the vehicle they're designed for. A truck cam is not the same as a car cam, so just because it's new & expensive doesn't mean it will work well in a pickup. If you have some specific reason to think the truck engine is going bad (mine has ~860Kmi without rebuild), then you might swap in the reman long block. But I'd still put a new stock truck cam in it. Any parts that don't match - swap them from the old engine to the replacement.
If the truck still runs right, I'd leave it as is, and just maintain/drive it.

The engine overheated to the point it died and would not crank for several hours afterwards.
The cam cam is a truck/RV cam. I called Comp cams and they said I was good to go.
I just didn’t know if I would have to swap to larger injectors or if there would be more to it than swapping the intakes out.

These albums show some trucks I'm working on right now, including resealing the engines. So they have pics that might interest you:
